Easyjet is launching its first route to Sweden and will fly daily from Gatwick to Gothenberg from September 6.

Flights go on sale today with fares leading in at £29.99 one way including taxes.

Easyjet UK general manager Paul Simmons said: “We think Gothenberg is going to be a great addition to our network for both business and leisure passengers alike. And by flying Easyjet, travellers will be able to enjoy fantastic service and low fares to convenient airports.

“Gothenberg brings our total number of routes out of Gatwick to 81 and we have even more new destinations to announce soon.”

Easyjet flies from Milan and Geneva to Sweden’s capital Stockholm but this will be the first Swedish route from the UK.
