easyJet passengers up 17% in April
EasyJet saw passenger numbers rise by almost 17% in April to 2.8 million over the same month last year.
The UK’s largest no-frills carrier’s load factor improved by 1.2 percentage points to 86.4% in the month.
Total revenue in the 12 months ending April 2006 was up by more than 20% to £1,468 million against £1,216 million for the same period a year earlier. Meanwhile, passengers carried rose by 14% in the 12 months to more than 31 million with a slight decline in load factor to 84.2%.
