El AL Israel Airlines has announced a new direct flight from Manchester to Tel Aviv.
Announced at this week’s World Travel Market, the route will start on May 26 and will operate three times a week to Ben Gurion, located between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
The Israel Government Tourist Office is currently running a ‘Two Sunny Cities, One Break’ campaign, showcasing the highlights of both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem which are less than one hour apart.
El Al will use a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, offering two service classes, Business Class and Economy Class.
Vice president commercial and industry affairs Michael Strassburger said: "Manchester has a large Jewish community and is a centre of business and tourism. This is good news not only for Israeli consumers; we also anticipate carrying thousands of tourists to Israel on this new route."
