Travelport has appointed Melanie Bryant from Emirates as its new client delivery executive for Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Her brief is to develop deeper technology partnerships with a selection of Travelport’s largest and ‘most strategically significant customers’.

Bryant was previously Emirate’s head of business technology, service delivery and Emirates Airport Services.

In the role, she was responsible for the development and implementation of the airline’s business IT strategy and accountable for the management of a large strategic investment portfolio.

During her four years with Emirates, she developed a number of innovative IT solutions for the company, including its award-winning mobile application, Journey Manager.

Prior to Emirates, Bryant spent 12 years with Qantas, where she held a variety of roles including manager of technology, commercial, international and domestic sales, and manager of IT strategy development, airports and customer experience.

At Travelport, she reports to Rabih Saab, president and MD of Travelport, EMEA, who said: "The appointment of Melanie Bryant reflects our commitment to consistently deliver best-in-class consultancy and technology solutions to our customers in the region.

"Her track record of conceiving and delivering innovative and effective technology-enabled solutions in complex and critical environments is exceptional. I look forward to working with her to further enhance the value we provide our customers, while evolving and expanding our business."
