Eurostar has cancelled all trains to Brussels on Monday
Eurostar is urging travellers booked onto to trains to Brussels next Monday to get in touch as soon as possible to cancel or change their booking.
All high speed services to Brussels are cancelled on December 15 due to the last of a series of national strikes that will take place across Belgium.
Yesterday’s strike caused severe disruption in Brussels, halting all underground trains, buses and trams.
Eurostar services to London were suspended, along with high-speed trains between Belgium and France, the Netherlands and Germany.
Next Monday, Eurostar services to Brussels will terminate at Lille Europe, but there will be no alternative transport provided to the Belgian capital.
Also, Eurostar will be operating a reduced timetable to Lille, with several trains cancelled. Passengers booked on the cancelled services to Lille have been placed on the next available trains. Those booked to travel to Brussels are being offered refunds or the option to change their booking to another date.
Airlines are also giving passengers booked to fly to Brussels on December 15 the option to cancel or re-scheduled their flights.
