Eurostar launches tour operation

Friday, 25 Apr, 2018 0

Eurostar has launched its own tour operator, Eurostar Holidays, so that its customers can book train and hotel packages through its website.

A wholly-owned division of Eurostar, it features a hand-picked collection of 250 hotels in Paris, Disneyland Paris, Bruges, Amsterdam, Lille and London where customers can get special rates and benefits when booking in conjunction with train travel.

In the coming months Eurostar Holidays will add hotels in our other destinations such as Lyon, Avignon and Marseilles.

Back office functions are being provided by Jac Travel but a whole new division has been set up within Eurostar to run the operation.

Longer term, Eurostar plans to offer leisure passengers the chance to add other aspects to their trip, such as theatre and attraction tickets.

"We’ve created the new platform to engage with our passengers on more than just their journey, bringing our destinations to life with a range of accommodation and experiences that can be selected to suit their individual needs, to create the ideal trip," said Roberto Abbondio, Eurostar managing director of new digital business.

"The first step is by offering quality places to stay, and then we will be forging long term partnerships with the best our cities have to offer, from the top attractions to more bespoke ‘bijou’ adventures."
