Ex-EasyJet cabin crew member killed in Florida
A former member of EasyJet’s cabin crew has been knocked down and killed by a hit-and-run driver while on holiday in Miami.
Andrew Hamilton, 27, from Chester, died after being hit by a speeding BMW at a pedestrian crossing in Miami Beach.
Witnesses said the car was travelling at speeds of 100mph. Police are searching for the driver, who fled the scene.
A JustGiving page has been set up to donate money in support of Mr Hamilton’s family.
The Foreign Office said: "We can confirm the death of a British national in Miami Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, October 13.
"We are providing consular assistance to the family at this time."
