Exciting times ahead for TravelMole
As chief executive of TravelMole I would like to say a huge thank you to our departing editor-in-chief, Richard Hammond , and tell readers about the exciting plans we have for the coming months.
Richard leaves us after three and a half years, and has led TravelMole through massive expansion. The number of TravelMole subscribers has grown from a few thousand to now nearly 24,000. Richard has also overseen the move from a weekly to a daily HTML news service, TravelMole’s Web Awards, the Responsible Tourism newsletter, and set the ball rolling for the launch of TravelMole overseas.
Richard leaves TravelMole in the capable hands of Ginny McGrath, who takes over as managing editor, and Helen Young who continues as news editor. We will also be receiving editorial content from contributing editor, Tim Gillet, along with guest comments from important industry figures – such as last week’s opinion piece by TQ3’s Toby Joseph.
As of last week, the TravelMole newswire is being received by 70,000 travel agents in the US, and building on this progress we expect to announce more overseas developments in the coming months.
TravelMole is also exploring the possibility of organising industry events, capitalising on its strengths as a thriving community for travel and tourism industry debate. We will keep you updated.
Finally I would like to say that we continue to welcome your comments and suggestions and wish you all the best for the future.
