Expedia affiliates get down to work
SYDNEY – Travel Counsellors has begun working with the Australian Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Programme.
Peter Watson, general manager of Travel Counsellors Australia, said the move was “a good fit for our businessâ€.
“It gives us additional reach in terms of access to inventory and some great rates. It’s intuitive and easy to use so there were no implementation or training issues.â€
Stuart Udy, Expedia manager for travel agent distribution APAC, said the Australian launch of the travel agent programme “has far outreached Expedia’s expectationsâ€.
“It’s a little known fact that many agents have been making bookings over the Internet to service their customers for some time but not being rewarded for it.
“Expedia has the product, Expedia has the rates, acknowledges the agents’ support and is happy to pay for that support,†said Udy.
Expedia has also confirmed signing New Zealand’s First Travel Group to the New Zealand affiliate programme.
