Expedia TAAP expands discount rates for agency partners
Expedia Partner Solutions (EPS) is offering a little relief for its hard-hit Expedia TAAP agency partners by extending package rates and safeguarding their 2020 tier status for this year.
Agencies will keep their current Platinum, Gold, or Silver status through 2021.
The package rates are now available to all Expedia TAAP partners, after only previously been accessible for Silver tier partners and above.
"The tier retention program and package rate extension are the latest in a series of steps we have taken to support the industry during this challenging time," said Robin Lawther, Senior Director of Expedia TAAP, EPS.
EPS says thousands more TAAP partners can now offer their clients an average discount of 20% on accommodation and transport packages.
EPS made 70% of rates refundable by reclassifying most non-refundable rates, and streamlining cancellation requests.
It did this by providing a self-service functionality enabling agents to cancel bookings without the need to call the Expedia service center.
