Families turning to tours

Who’s looking more intently at packaged tours? Families, says Explore Arizona Tours.
No surprise, they say, since the state is family-friendly.

“The state is made up of a lot of wide, open spaces. It’s the embodiment of the stereotypical ‘west’ and people see it as a place where their children will be able to run and enjoy themselves without causing a problem,” said Tyson Bailey of Explore.

Arizona also has mild winters.

Families with young children appreciate this aspect because it decreases the hassle of traveling with children. Traveling in colder climates requires a lot more luggage. Bailey says.
Arizona also has a propensity to host family friendly functions all year long.

Child friendly venues that are popular for Arizona visitors all year long include Desert Botanical Gardens, Phoenix Zoo, Pioneer Living History Village, Taliesin West, Adobe Mountain Railroad Park, Carefree Sundial (one of the world’s largest sundials-90 feet across), and Fountain Park (home to the world’s tallest fountain).
