Fancy meeting you here…
Prince Charles reportedly faces the “possible indignity” of having his honeymoon is Scotland interrupted by tourists, according to the Daily Telegraph. The newspaper, which suggests that the Queen may have decided to stay away from Charles and Camilla’s wedding because of the prospect of having to “wade through crowds of tourists”, reports that the happy couple will have share the royal estate Balmoral with “pony trekkers, anglers, hill walkers, trailer rides and four-wheel drive safaris”. The newspaper reports that five cottages at Balmoral have been rented out for between £30 and £720 per week; they are normally unavailable whenever the Queen makes her summer visit to the estate. Peter Ord, the factor at Balmoral, is quoted as saying that the estate would stay open: “We are treating it in exactly the same way as we would any other visit by the Prince of Wales.” Report by Tim Gillett, News From Abroad Ltd
