Finnair resuming Guangzhou flights
Nordic carrier Finnair is set to resume flights to the Chinese city of Guangzhou.
After an absence of over two years it will relaunch services with a direct weekly flight from Helsinki on September 6.
Services will depart the Finnish capital each Tuesday at 14:45, arriving in Guangzhou the following morning at 08:15.
The return flight will depart 09:50 each Thursday, arriving into Helsinki at 18:10.
Ole Orvér, Finnair Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We are excited to return to Guangzhou and look forward to gradually increasing our offering for the Chinese market.”
Flights will be operated by A350 aircraft.
The required Chinese Covid-19 testing is available at Helsinki Airport.
Guangzhou is one of China’s largest urban areas, and one of the country’s main transport and trading hubs.
Finnair also flies to Shanghai, once a week, as well as various Asian destinations including Tokyo and Bangkok
Currently, the Nordic carrier flies to London Heathrow, Manchester, Dublin and Edinburgh, allowing easy connections to China via Helsinki.
