First cruise ship returns to Fiji
Cruise tourism has made a comeback in Fiji.
Lautoka Port welcomed its first large post-pandemic cruise ship call with the arrival of P&O’s Pacific Explorer.
Ministry of Tourism Permanent Secretary, Shaheen Ali says it is a key for tourism’s revival. He said the cruise sector brings in an estimated 300,000 visitors annually, each spending an average $190.
Pacific Explorer also kicked off New Zealand’s cruise industry return when it called in Auckland earlier this week.
