First Hard Rock Hotel in Europe confirmed
Madrid is to be the first city in Europe to have a Hard Rock Hotel.
The 192-room property is to open next spring in a revamp of the Gran Hotel Reina Victoria.
US-based Hard Rock has formed a joint venture with Spanish chain Sol Melia which will manager the hotel.
Top of the range rooms will include i-Pod connections and cocktail bars. All rooms will include a home theatre entertainment centre including a 32-inch plasma screen TV and CD-DVD while WiFi internet access and a laptop safe will also be provided.
