Flights cancelled in 24-hour Greece strike
Dozens of flights have been cancelled today due to a 24-hour strike by Greece’s Civil Aviation Authority workers.
Olympic Air has cancelled more than flights, mainly from Athens to the Greek islands, and sister airline Aegean has also been forced to cancel some domestic services.
The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office advised travellers to check with their airline or operator before travelling.
"A 24-hour strike is planned by the Civil Aviation Authority union on Friday 8 January," it said.
"This may lead to cancellations or delays in services throughout the country."
EasyJet said its flights would not be affected.
