Flybe commits to London-Cardiff service

Sunday, 19 Jan, 2017 0

Flybe has confirmed its service from Cardiff to London City will continue during summer 2017 with up to two flights a day, operating seven days a week.

It said the service had been supported by the business community, who see it as a good alternative to the train service or driving between the two cities.

Vincent Hodder, Flybe’s chief revenue officer, said: "It is good news for the route that is receiving such positive support from the business community.

"We look forward to seeing demand continuing to grow, to allow it to become a firmly established route on our Cardiff schedule."

Debra Barber, MD and COO of Cardiff Airport, added: "This important service has already seen many Welsh business professionals making the journey to London for the day – it’s proving to be a real time saver and an exciting prospect for companies who want to do business in Wales.

"A city service is an important link between both capitals, but it will only continue for as long as our customers support and utilise the route – so I’d encourage everyone to try the service."
