Flybe unveils further Birmingham expansion
Flybe is to expand its operations at Birmingham with seven new routes.
The new routes include a six times a week service to Florence, which will be the first time Birmingham will offer flights to the city.
The other new routes are:
– daily flights to Cologne
– six times a week to Toulouse
– five times a week to Alicante
– four times a week to Bordeaux, Palma Mallorca and Porto.
Flybe is adding three of its 2×2 seat Embraer 175 jets to the airport, which will make Birmingham its biggest ever regional base with 12 aircraft.
Seats are on sale now, with one-way fares from £34.99 including taxes and charges.
Flights start on April 10 to Alicante, Cologne, Florence and Porto, and from May 13 for the rest.
The announcement comes a week after Flybe revealed it would be boosting the frequency of flights to Hanover, Milan-Malpensa and Stuttgart from Birmingham.
