Flying high for prostate cancer
Lord Howe Island will be host to a series of fundraising events from September 9-15 in aid of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
A highlight of the week will be the Lord Howe Island Kitesurfing Challenge on September 12.
Keen kitesurfers, including pro kitesurfer Ben Wilson, will take part in the world-first race from Balls Pyramid to Lord Howe Island to raise funds and awareness for the PCFA.
Balls Pyramid is the world’s tallest sea stack at 552 metres.
The week will also feature a charity golf day at the Lord Howe Island Golf Course, arguably the most scenic in Australia, where participants will have the opportunity to tee off on World Heritage turf.
