Fresh canvas for Art Series hotels
The Art Series Hotel Group is adding Art Series Studios in urban and regional locations around Australia to its portfolio of art-inspired hotels and residences,
Will Deague, CEO, Asian Pacific Group, said following the success of the group’s Melbourne-based hotels, "we identified an exciting opportunity for more compact, affordable accommodation solutions in regional towns and cities that we could bring our successful art inspired concept to”.
Unlike The Olsen, The Cullen and The Blackman hotels, which have a gallery like feeling, the Studios will reflect an artist’s studio.
Guests will experience edgy communal spaces and rooms filled with original artwork and prints, art books, art utensils and a dedicated art channel.
They will also have access to free WIFI, art tours and classes.
Staff at the Studio properties will be fully trained to offer informative tours of the hotel artwork and insights to cultural experiences available in each location.
Art Series Hotel Group plans to open two Studios within the next 13 months. The first will open in Bendigo in May 2014 followed by a second in Parkville, Melbourne.
Each Studio hotel will be named after and draw inspiration from a leading Australian contemporary artist.
Another Art Series Hotel, The Watson, will open in Adelaide in July 2014.
