Fresh strikes to disrupt weekend travel in France
Train workers in France are planning further strikes on Friday and Saturday, although these are likely to cause less disruption than the previous three months’ of walkouts by SNCF staff as fewer members are involved.
Eurostar is planning to run its services as normal on Friday and Saturday, but SNCF is warning of some possible cancellations and delays to French domestic and international trains, including TGV services.
The Foreign Office is urging people travelling to France to check with their train operator before travelling and to allow extra time for journeys.
SNCF is expected to provide details of delays and cancellation on its website https://www.sncf.com/sncv1/en/trainstatus from 5pm tomorrow, and on the SNCF App.
Both the website and the app will also have regular updates to services during the strike days.
