Non-superstitious last-minute types could save themselves a fifth off their air fare if they choose to travel today– Friday May 13.
Travel search site Kayak has discovered that the average flight cost tomorrow is 20.4% cheaper than the average across the rest of the month.
UK managing director for KAYAK Annie Wilson said: “Everyone can be slightly superstitious; perhaps being cautious about walking under ladders or feeling nervous if an umbrella is opened inside – but Friday the thirteenth can bring out doubts in even the most rational. If however, the superstitions are overcome, British holidaymakers could find themselves a bargain!”
