British Airways and Virgin Atlantic have reportedly united in an effort to bring the Olympic Games to London in 2012.
According to the Sky News website, the two airlines are set to “bury the hatchet”, with the companies’ two respective bosses Sir Richard Branson and Rod Eddington due to pose for photographs to publicise the million initiative.
The website reports that the two airlines, which famously fell out in 1993 when Virgin won a libel case against British Airways, will both fork out GBP1 million to help promote London’s bid to host the 2012 games.
