From John and Yoko – with love

TOKYO – The John Lennon Museum in Saitama near Tokyo is holding a special event entitled Wedding Days from March 20 through March 23, to commemorate John and Yoko’s wedding anniversary on March 20.

During the three-day event that celebrates the 40th anniversary of John and Yoko’s marriage in Gibraltar, free admission is offered to one member of each couple visiting the museum – a saving of up to 1500 yen ($25) per couple – as well a commemorative gift to couples who make a purchase in the museum shop.

On the final day of the event, a free live concert featuring a selection of love songs performed by amateur musicians will be held in the museum lounge from 2:00pm until 5:30pm.

An apt finale for the Wedding Days event, the Love Songs concert also ties in with the museum’s upcoming special exhibition, The World of LOVE John and Yoko Created, which is set to open on April 29.

The John Lennon Museum is located on the fourth and fifth floors of Saitama Super Arena in Saitama Shintoshin (Saitama New Urban Centre).

Access: A 35 – 45 minute train ride from Tokyo to Saitama Shintoshin, then three minutes walk from the station
