Gangster-famous Chicago hotel offers new rates
So here’s a hotel creating promotional packages because of what happened in 1910 — the year neon lights, cellophane and Fathers Day were started.
That is also when the Blackstone Hotel in Chicago opened its doors, and it’s now celebrating its 100th birthday.
The Milestone Package offers $100 rates from Jan. 1 to April 10 of next year.
Guests booking the package can sip on a champagne cocktail, Singapore Sling or a Flora Dora, made with raspberry-infused gin and home brewed ginger ale – all for $1 each.
Blackout rates apply.
Celebrities, mobsters and US presidents have been among its guests.
