Garuda Indonesia giving pre-flight vaccinations
Indonesia flag carrier Garuda has started administering pre-flight vaccine jabs to unvaccinated customers. It comes as Indonesia put large swathes of Java and Bali on micro lockdowns. Air travel between the two islands requires at least one Covid jab.
Only about 5% of the nation’s 270 million citizens have been fully vaccinated. The country is currently in its worse ever Covid wave with record cases being reported daily. President Joko Widodo has vowed to ramp up vaccinations to one million a day by later this month.
