Garuda spreads its wings in Australia
Garuda Indonesia is reinstating non-stop flights from Perth to Jakarta, starting from June 28.
Daily flights will be operated by Garuda Indonesia’s B738 aircraft also currently servicing the twice-daily Perth-Denpasar-Jakarta route.
Lifting the existing capacity from 14 to 21 flights per week, Garuda says the new direct service is responding to growing demand, particularly from the business community in Western Australia.
Garuda Indonesia is to reintroduce non-stop Boeing 777-300 flights from Jakarta to London Gatwick in the fourth quarter of 2013.
In addition to the new Gatwick route, the carrier will also open two more international routes this year linking Indonesia’s capital city to Auckland and Brisbane.
