Global Eco Asia-Pacific Tourism Conference to be held in Cairns, Queensland.

Ecotourism Australia has announced its 20th annual conference. The Global Eco Asia-Pacific Tourism Conference will be held 15-17 October in Cairns, Queensland.

Global Eco is back in Cairns for the first time in 10 years and is set to contribute to putting Australia back on the world map as number one when it comes to ecotourism.

Tropical North Queensland has one of the highest concentrations of ecotourism operators in the world and they are ready to show off their efforts to national and international delegates and to work with them to collectively engage governments and to place the economic opportunities that ecotourism brings at the centre of public debate.

Australia offers such unique natural and cultural beauty that cannot be found elsewhere in the world. What better way to protect the very essence of this country than through sharing it with the rest of the world in a way that is sustainable for nature and business?

The tourism industry is invited to showcase their latest sustainable and ecotourism initiatives by offering a presentation for the 2012 Global Eco Conference.

"This is a fantastic opportunity to bring individual knowledge to the industry and gain exposure" Conference Convenor, Tony Charters said.

Expressions of interest in presenting a paper at the conference close COB Monday 28 May 2012.
Global Eco will be held at the Pullman Reef Hotel in Cairns over 3 days and will host an array of national and international speakers, forums, workshops and networking opportunities.
