Goa puts its best face forward
Reinventing Goa as a premier investment and tourist destination in India will be one of the topics under discussion at the Goa International Travel Mart (GITM) from April 2 – 4.
GITM will bring together travel companies, hoteliers, state tourism boards and other leisure enterprises to showcase the tourism investment potential in the state.
Goa is ready to cast off its image as a hippy haven and explore alternative visitor experiences.
One hundred international buyers from about 28 countries are participating GITM, along with 250 buyers from across India and 2500 non-hosted traders.
Several knowledge sessions with speakers from the airline and hospitality industry will take the theme: "Positioning Goa as India’s premier leisure destination towards 2020".
A panel discussion on "Image building through out-of-the-box marketing concepts for the private and government sector" will provide fresh insights into the field of travel trade.
A Goa Pavilion will be created to showcase the state’s attractions, including festivals and nightlife, beaches, UNESCO Heritage sites, medical tourism, meetings and events, and monsoon tourism.
