Gold Coast goes south to ATE
Gold Coast Tourism is bringing to next week’s Australian Tourism Exchange in Adelaide, more than 70km of beaches, World Heritage rainforests and waterways surrounding a city teaming with food, fun, fashion and culture.
Key industry wholesalers and buyers are poised to experience how to best on-sell the Gold Coast under the direction of an innovative marketing strategy led by Pavan Bhatia, Gold Coast Tourism CEO, learning about how to position the ‘new’ Gold Coast and its celebrated diversity of choice and experience.
“Following the very receptive response at the 14th Asia Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) this month, it is evident Gold Coast Tourism has a substantial amount to share with buyers hungry for a fresh tourism destination on both the holiday and business tourism front,” said Pavan Bhatia, Gold Coast Tourism CEO.
Pavian added, “With the arrival of new and exciting products such as the Australian Outback Spectacular, Q1’s Observation Deck, Whale Watching Season, and new rides at Dreamworld and Movieworld, the Gold Coast is more enticing than ever.
“Our destination and indeed our strongly rooted economy is equipped to support a booming tourism industry and respond to travellers with the highest of standards and expectations.”
“ATE enables us to showcase the destination and engage with more than 600 key overseas buyers from 40 countries.”
Buyers who visit the Gold Coast stand will be able to schedule appointments with Gold Coast Tourism’s professional team as well as engage with the many Gold Coast operators participating at the expo.
The experienced Gold Coast Tourism team will be lead by Pavan Bhatia, CEO and supported by Gordon Price, Director – Japan; Rowena Goodwill, Director – New Zealand & Western Hemisphere; Kara Roberts, Director – Australia; Sandra Passaro, Director – Business Tourism; David Cox Manager – New Zealand & Western Hemisphere; Fiona Heron Manager – Emerging Markets; Donna Kerr, Manager – Japan; Bill Tatchell, Special Projects Manager – E Commerce; and
