Gold Medal adopts new online booking software
Gold Medal Travel has implemented an online booking system developed by Galor Systems & Software.
The GILBOA system claims to be the first travel industry online reservation software package providing a total end-to-end solution for all types of travel companies.
According to Galor, GILBOA allows users to sell online in real time, create complex dynamic packaging, allocate flights, ferries, trains, accommodation, car hire and cruises. The system interfaces with GDS’s including Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan.
Gold Medal Travel group managing director Wayne Pearce said: “GILBOA impressed us as its numerous functions will allow us to improve productivity, reduce operation cost, create unique passenger records and increase online sales. The system has already been of considerable benefit and clearly promises further significant improvement to our company and clients.”
Galor head of international operations Avi Katz said: “Helping the travel industry adjust to market demands has been the goal of GALOR since it was founded in 1989. Our first system revolutionised the travel industry by accelerating travel agents’ processes. Launching GILBOA in the UK was the next logical step.
“Billions of pounds worth of travel have already been sold by hundreds of companies using GILBOA. It’s highly stable, totally reliable and has proven itself with companies everywhere from the US to Hong Kong.”
