Grand finale to a Roman summer

Sunday, 13 Sep, 2007 0

The city of Rome will end it’s summer with a wonderful event called “Opere sotto le stelle” – “Opera Under the Stars”. These series of events which will present various contemporary operas throughout September will take place at the Gran Teatro in Rome.

Contemporary opera is a form that seems to be appreciated more and more by the Italians, and this presentation certainly will not disappoint. The schedule is rich in events, with five different operas taking place which are the following: “Pia de’ Tolomei”, “Federico II – La danza del Falcone”, “Notre Dame de Paris”, “Tosca Amore Disperato” and a romantic version of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”. With rewrites and modern music, not to mention the incredible talent, these operas are not to be missed!

The venue is the Gran Teatro via di Tor di Quinto. The opera will take place between September 4th – 22nd, 2007. Opening hours: 09:30 pm
