Group offers veterans free trip to Washington DC
A Philadelphia organization is offering free trips to Washington DC to all World War II veterans and to terminally ill veterans of all wars.
Senator Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania this week announced that Honor Flight Philadelphia will offer its next Honor Flight Tour of Honor on November 2, 2013.
The group will provide transportation, three meals, a guardian to travel with the vets and souvenirs of the trip, as well as a USO-style show featuring The Manhattan Dolls singing 1940s hits.

Honor Flight Philadelphia is dedicated to "recognizing our veterans for their sacrifices and achievements by taking our vets to Washington, DC, to see their memorial, as our guests."
The group, which is also looking for guardians to travel with the program, hopes to expand to include Korean and Vietnam veterans in the future.
