GTA shake-up after EMEA boss stands down
A restructure of senior management along global lines instead of a regional approach has been unveiled by Travelport-owned wholesaler Gullivers Travel Associates (GTA).
The changes follow the decision of executive vice-president and managing director EMEA Mayor Caspi to leave GTA after five years to spend more time with his family, the company said.
John Guscic, currently managing director for Asia Pacific, becomes chief commercial officer for GTA globally, based in London. His remit covers marketing, sales and sales-related operations globally.
Kurt Ekert, currently managing director for GTA North America and the Octopus consumer online business, becomes chief operating officer for GTA globally, based dually out of New York and London.
He is responsible for sourcing hotel and services content, revenue management and inbound operations, in addition to his current Octopus responsibilities.
President and CEO Ken Esterow said: “GTA will be better positioned than ever before to capture growth across the world, in both emerging and mature travel markets.
“The organization will also support our continued focus on providing the travel industry with the highest quality and broadest travel content combined with our leading in-market delivery capabilities. “
