Guam beachfront resort to rebrand to Crowne Plaza
InterContinental Hotels Group is extending its footprint to a new Pacific market: Guam.
It signed a deal to take over the operation of the 318-room beachfront Fiesta Resort Guam from 2021.
Then it will become the Crowne Plaza Guam after a multimillion-dollar refurbishment.
The refurb will see the addition of a Crowne Plaza lounge, renovated F&B outlets, a, fitness centre, swimming pool, and function and meetings space including a refurbished ballroom.
"Guam is already a favourite with travellers from Korea, China and Japan, and we look forward to growing their footprint with our Crowne Plaza brand," said Abhijay Sandilya, IHG’s VP of development – Australia, Japan and Pacific.
The resort is located in Tumon Bay
The hotel will feature new amenities in the relaunched Crowne Plaza guest experience which include new co-working facilities, meeting pods and other business focused initiatives.
