Guam seeking more Chinese visitors
Guam is being featured as one of the premiere US destinations on a promotional DVD being created by the US Commercial Service as part of a campaign to increase the number of visitors here from China.
In response to the US – China Group Leisure Travel Memorandum of Understanding signed last December, the number of Chinese travelers is expected to increase dramatically.
DVS’s showcasing US locations such as Guam will be played continuously in the waiting rooms.
Each video clip will be five minutes in length with Mandarin subtitles. The Guam vignette will contain footage of the outdoor activities that can be done daily in Guam’s year-round warm weather. Activities include diving, swimming and golf. Guam’s shopping is also highlighted.
The promotional campaign will be launched later this month. It will run for six months.
