Hail a taxi through Galileo Leisure

Friday, 04 Jul, 2006 0

Where2Guv has been launched as a taxi booking service for agents by Galileo Leisure.

The system is designed to allow agents to earn additional commission through taxi trips and transfers.

Once journey details are entered into the system, a fare is generated and the system finds a licensed taxi or private hire company in the pick-up area and confirms with an email.

A Galileo spokesman said that at 10% commission, the taxi reservation product had the potential to to earn more renumeration for agents than selling flights.

Galileo UK country manager Patrick Lukan said: “Where2Guv delivers a safe, fast, reliable and convenient way of booking a cab from anywhere is the UK and we are offering it free of charge to Galileo agents. The easy to use service requires no training.”

Where2Guv managing director Stephen Dean said: “Airport pick-ups and drop-offs are a large part of our existing business and travel agents can now offer our UK nationwide taxi and transfer service to their customers.”
