Halal travel specialist makes it into Fast Track 100
HalalBooking.com has made it into the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 following a leap in turnover.
The online search and booking platform for halal-friendly accommodation was ranked at No. 26 in the annual league table which ranks Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing sales.
HalalBooking.com has seen annual sales grow 90% in the last three years.
In 2017 its turnover was £10.1 million, up from £5.4 million in 2016.
It now has over 300,000 customers across 75 countries.
CEO Elnur Seyidli said: "I hope that inclusion in such a prestigious list will bring more recognition to the halal-friendly travel sector. Despite the fact that it is one of the industry’s fastest-growing markets, it is still relatively unknown, especially in Europe."
According to the newly-released State of the Global Islamic Economy Report 2018/19, the Muslim spend on travel worldwide in 2017 was $177 billion.
This is forecast to reach $274 billion by 2023, making it one of the industry’s fastest-growing sectors.
