Hanoi ready to celebrate 1000 years
HANOI – Vietnam’s capital city is planning big celebrations next year to mark its 1000th anniversary.
Hanoi will organise a series of activities under the umbrella of National Tourism Year 2010.
The anniversary celebrations will be officially launched at the Hanoi Spring Flower Festival in February 2010.
Other major events planned include cultural and folk festivals, a festival of local cuisine and the Hanoi International Tourism Festival in July 2010 hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism.
