Hawaii Tourist Authority rolls out first mobile app

Sunday, 09 Aug, 2016 0
The Hawaii Tourist Authority has created its first mobile travel app which focuses on up-to-date information to keep travelers safe throughout the state.

The GoHawaii app offers tips for all destinations including Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai and the Island of Hawaii with comprehensive listings for statewidl events and cultural festivals.

It also ensures travelers stay well informed of local weather conditions when hiking or enjoying ocean sports, said Randy Baldemor, HTA chief operating officer.

"The GoHawaii app is a fun way to learn about Hawaii while having travel and safety information that people need to know about and have access to at all times. Visitors are outdoors all the time in Hawaii. This app helps keep them safe while they enjoy the beauty of our Islands," he said.

The app also has special ‘Locomojis’ – Hawaii inspired emojis that can be shared with friends and other travelers including an ukulele, aloha shirt and erupting volcano.

The app is live and free to download for both iPhone and Android users.
