Head of major travel PR firm has died
Well-known travel industry PR Judy McCluskey has passed away following a heart attack a week ago.
Judy was the founder and head of London-based McCluskey International, one of the UK’s top travel and tourism and lifestyle marketing consultancies.
Her company, which will mark its thirtieth anniversary next year, provides destination marketing services and public relations support to travel and lifestyle brands, tourist boards, hotels, tour operators, airlines and cruise lines.
Its client list includes the tourist boards of India, Maldives, the Philippines and the ski resorts of Breckenridge in the US and Samoens in France, plus Kimpton hotels and Swarovski Optik.
McCluskey International was also a founding partner of Travel Lifestyle Network.
In a statement, McCluskey International said: "In line with Judy’s wishes, the McCluskey International team will honour Judy’s legacy by continuing to deliver the great client work the ageny has become known for."
A small family funeral will take place next week and a larger memorial service will be held on Wednesday November 30 at 12 noon at Our Lady of Grace and St Edward Church on Chiswick High Road, Chiswick, west London, with a reception to follow afterwards.
