Heathrow Airport’s terminal two has now re-opened after it was evacuated because of a terror alert involving unattended luggage.

According to initial reports the terminal, which mainly serves European destinations, was cleared at 11.20pm after an unattended bag was found. It was re-opened shortly before 1pm.

An airport spokesman has stated that flights are already being affected and delays could last throughout much of the day.
