HECANSA partners with eRevMax for hotel online distribution technology

HECANSA (Hotel Schools of the Canary Islands S.A.) – a company dependent on the Government of the Canary Islands (Board of Tourism) has signed a partnership agreement with eRevMax, the global leader in hotel channel management space, with the goal to bring new online distribution technologies to the Canaries.

Ricardo Fernndez de la Puente Armas, Deputy Minister of Tourism for the Canary Islands signed the agreement last month with Cristina Hernndez, eRevMax’s Director of Sales South Europe at the Hotel Escuela Santa Brígida in Gran Canaria.

HECANSA will utilize industry’s premium channel management solution RateTiger Suite, for their two hotel schools to power their students’ education in the Distribution and Revenue Management fields. RateTiger Suite is an integrated solution to manage third party sales updates, benchmark competitor room rates and manage reservations through two-way XML connectivity. It helps hotels improve sales through real-time ARI updates and leverage rate movements as per demand scenario.

"Being aware of this new source of employment, Revenue Management, acknowledged  by the National Public Employment Service, HECANSA signs the present agreement for the utilization of the product RateTiger Suite with the purpose of giving an answer to the new necessities and improvement of the competitiveness of the Canary Islands’ tourist sector. On the other hand, this product will serve as a mechanism for labour market integration to our students," commented Ricardo Fernndez de la Puente Armas, Deputy Minister of Tourism for Canary Islands.

The students of HECANSA Hotel Management Program will receive training on how to use the RateTiger software as well as the art of maximizing online revenue by accredited professionals from eRevMax.
