Hertz success at Business Travel World Awards

This year’s Business Travel World Awards were announced on Monday at Le Méridien Grosvenor House in London.

Former West Ham football star, Trevor Brooking, rewarded 13 travel corporations on the behalf of Business Travel World in recognition of excellence and achievement within the corporate travel market. The jury was composed of Paul Allan (Chairman of Ian Allan Travel), Allen Grimley and Marilyn Clifton, former BTW Travel Managers, Tony Pilcher (HSBC), Ian Scott (PricewaterhouseCoopers), Paul Wait (Virgin Atlantic) and was chaired by Sue Lewis Neilson, Corporate Travel Manager of the Year 2000. The awards were made as follows:

  • Business Car Services: Hertz UK
  • Business Terminus: London City Airport
  • Short-Haul Business Carrier: British European
  • Long-Haul Business Airline: British Airways
  • Sales Teams: HSBC
  • Business Travel Agent (Annual turnover less than £200m): World Travel Management
  • Business Travel Agent (Annual turnover more than £200m): BTI UK
  • Business Hotel Brand: (Fewer than 100 properties): the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C.
  • Business Hotel Group (More than 100 properties): Marriott International
  • Business Travel Development: KDS
  • Corporate Travel Manager: Tony Archer, ICI
  • Account Manager: Linda Edwards, BTI UK
