Hilton arrives in Queenstown
Two distinctive hotels will launch the Hilton brand on New Zealand’s South Island, with the mid-May soft opening of the Hilton Queenstown and neighbouring Kawarau Hotel Managed by Hilton.
The newly built properties will be the only Queenstown hotels to be located absolute waterfront on Lake Wakatipu in the year-round resort town.
The development comprises the 5-star Hilton Queenstown, with 178 rooms, and the 4-star Kawarau Hotel, featuring 98 rooms.
Both hotels are within the newly built Kawarau Village, located
approximately 10 kms to Queenstown town centre, just over two kilometres from Queenstown Airport, and approximately 10 kms from The Remarkables Ski Area.
Hilton will run its own shuttle services by water and road into Queenstown centre.
Hilton Queenstown and the Kawarau Hotel Managed by Hilton will join Hilton Auckland and Hilton Lake Taupo in New Zealand.
