Hilton bringing Canopy brand to KL
Hilton is to debut a new brand in Southeast Asia with the opening of Canopy by Hilton Kuala Lumpur in 2021.
Hilton agreed a management deal with owner Hass Holdings Sdn Bhd for the 456-key hotel in the lifestyle district of Bukit Bintang.
The hotel will include a 28th floor rooftop dining venue with swimming pool, and a fitness centre.
"We are thrilled to launch Canopy by Hilton in Southeast Asia in the gateway city of Kuala Lumpur," said Guy Phillips, Hilton’s senior vice president, development, Asia & Australasia.
The announcement came just after the hotel site changed hands from BBCC Development Sdn Bhd to Hass Holdings in a deal worth RM290 million.
BBCC Development is the principal developer for the Bukit Bintang City Centre project where the hotel is sited.
"Canopy by Hilton connects guests to the neighbourhood’s numerous shopping, dining and entertainment options, allowing travellers to embark on a new kind of lifestyle experience in the destination," added Canopy by Hilton global chief Gary Steffen.
