Hilton International joins Galileo “best available rate”
Hilton International is the latest chain to sign up for Galileo’s best available rate programme.
Galileo agents will have access best available unrestricted rates from almost 200 additional hotels through the deal. The Galileo programme now covers more than 9,000 properties.
The addition of Hilton International brings the number of participating hotel brands to more than 40, providing access to best available published rates through Galileo’s hotel booking system RoomMaster.
Tim Davis, Hilton’s senior vice-president distribution and e-commerce, said: “Galileo best available rate is an excellent means of building trust with the guest in today’s cluttered marketplace so they have the confidence to book.
“We announced in September a set of terms and objectives for our distribution deals and we are delighted to be able to work with Galileo to achieve these objectives within these parameters.”
Galileo has similar agreements with hotel chains including Marriott International, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Outrigger Hotels and Resorts, Kimpton Hotels, Carlton Hospitality, Omni Hotels, Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts, Le Meridien, Kempinski Hotels and Resorts, Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Protea Hotels.
Participants in the best available rate programme represent nearly 38% of Galileo’s hotel booking traffic worldwide, according to the GDS. It expects more chains to join in the near future.
