Historic moment for Norwegian Bliss
Norwegian Bliss, the first cruise ship custom-built for Alaskan cruises, has started her conveyance along the Ems River to Eemshaven, Netherlands.
She features several first-at-sea fea, including the largest two-level race track at sea, new dining experiences, such as Q Texas Smokehouse and Coco’s a chocolate and treat shop, and the Broadway show Jersey Boys.
When she arrives in Eemshaven, she will take on additional provisions and crew before heading out to the North Sea for technical and nautical sea trials.
She officially joins the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet on April 19 in Bremerhaven, Germany.
Here, UK travel agents and media will have the chance to spend some time on board before she begins her passage across the Atlantic Ocean on April 21, arriving in the US on May 3.
Events will then take place in New York City, Miami, and Los Angeles, concluding with a christening ceremony on May 30 at the new Pier 66 at the Port of Seattle, followed by her inaugural cruise.
Norwegian Bliss will spend her summer sailing seven-day cruises to Alaska and the autumn cruising to the Mexican Riviera from Los Angeles.
In winter of 2018 she will sail to the Caribbean from Miami, and in the 2019 fall/winter season she will cruise from New York City to Florida, the Bahamas and Caribbean.
