HKIA Sees Steady Growth in June
HONG KONG – Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) recorded solid growth in passenger volumes and air traffic movements (ATMs) in June.
Passenger throughput and ATMs grew 5.7% and 5.6% from June 2006, to 3.85 million and 24,180, respectively.
For the first six months of 2007, passenger volumes rose 6.4%, to 22.7 million and ATMs increased 4.4%, to 143,000.
Stanley Hui, Airport Authority Hong Kong CEO, said, “Looking ahead, we expect robust passenger outbound volumes as Hong Kong people take summer holidays and strong inbound traffic from Europe, the Mainland and Southeast Asia. “
Throughout July and August, Terminals 1 and 2 will feature magic shows, handicraft workshops, nail painting, story telling, balloon art, temporary tattoos, a photo exhibition and more.
