Holiday Direct Takes up Holiday Maker

Tuesday, 21 Oct, 2008 0

As part of the company wide systems upgrade, which started with the uptake of Dolphin Travel Manager (and Travel Scanner) in September last year; Holiday Direct Travel Group is now pleased to announce TravelTek’s ‘Holidaymaker’ dynamic packaging facility to its members.

“Our members will have the opportunity to power their own websites with the most advanced dynamic packaging and online booking systems available” said Holiday Directs managing director Cary Lam.

“As time goes by, the internet is more and more important to travel agents. We d have a lot of member agents who sell primarily on the high street, but the ease of use of the new websites makes generating revenue from online sales accessible to anyone.”

“Together with our recent advances, taking on new bulk loading systems and back office systems, the combined result is as much automation and integration as we feel is available to agents in the travel market today. The bookable websites will be able to feed into our back office with little or no additional data entry for the agent”
The group wide websites will encompass both city and beach based suppliers matched to all the major low cost airlines. Flight only booking is available, and the ski holidays search is loaded with a large amount of Holiday Directs own unique ski hotel product.

All holiday data featured on the website will be able to load to advertisers, including Teletext, giving Holiday Direct members easy access to various sources of advertising.

Through partnership with TravelTek, Holiday Direct will also offer reduced rates for members wanting to customise their own websites, adding features specific to their own expertise.
